Initialization
Setup is now ready to initialize all the spaces needed for the database (DbSpace on C: and D:, SBSpace on C: and D:).
Click on “Yes”.
Note for IDS v9.30:
This operation will fail on Windows XP. If you are running on Microsoft Windows 2000, it will not fail. Refer to the next section for detailed information on how to solve this issue (see “Initialization process for IDS v9.30” in the Appendix).
As I have not started the SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) on my machine, onsnmp, the Informix utility for SNMP monitoring has not been started.
Installation is now complete.
Finally, you need to reboot your system.
After rebooting, you will discover another user added to your system: the Informix user.
Note:
If you do not want the Informix user to be displayed on your welcome screen, follow these very simple steps (http://www.jgp.net/informixnologin).
